JAYVO SCOTT (Owner/Artist)
Jayvo Scott is an internationally known award winning, second generation tattoo artist, who has been a Brevard county resident for over 25 years. His father taught him the art of tattooing, and he has since been highly recognized across the tattoo industry. His tattooing has enabled him to travel around the globe adorning peoples skin with beautiful permanent artwork, some of which can be seen in magazines, television shows, and films as well. Currently, Jayvo owns True To You Tattoo in Melbourne, "Central Florida's premiere tattoo studio.
Be yourself no matter what, are the words to live by, according to Jayvo. Integrity, professionalism, and respect are key to his success, (something he is no stranger to). After competing on Spike TV’s hit show Inkmaster, Jayvo created a innovative tattoo studio that puts the client first, and provides them with a one of a kind experience to be remembered forever.
Tattooing isn’t his only forte, Jayvo is also an actor who has appeared on many films and tv shows, including Complications, The Gifted, and NBC’s Good Girls. His art has even been showcased as the posters for the Melbourne Independent Filmmakers Festivals (MIFF) for the past 5 years. Bringing art, (tattoo art especially) into tv and film, and merging the two worlds is a big goal of his.
On a local level, Jayvo is actively involved in the community in the form of fundraisers and charity events, including specialty events that his tattoo studio holds to benefit those in need.

Tattooing found me in Flint Michigan, and changed my life!! I love all styles of tattooing, you pick it I stick it!
Served 20 years in the United States Navy, retired in 2022. The Navy allowed me to live all over the country where I had the opportunity to work in different shops and rub elbows with some of the greatest tattooers! Now I can focus on my passion for tattooing full time!! There's no better feeling than seeing a brand new tattoo change someone's life! Hi I'm Sarah PQ! Originally from Atlanta Georgia but, my tattoo journey started in Cold Lake Alberta in 2010.
I fell into this skill during my time in Canada. During my time in Cold Lake
I owned and operated in my own shop from 2012-2020.
I love happy fun tattoos as well as the Macomb. My specialties include glitter and colorful, full of fantasy and pop culture to love of the traditional, cover ups and reworking of an old haggard tattoo that needs to be forgotten. In Loving Memory of "Ozvaldo DeJesus Ripoll" 1948-2020
Jayvo’s father, born Ozvaldo de Jesus Ripoll, hailed from Matanzas, Cuba.
“My dad is my biggest influence and inspiration! He truly achieved the American dream by coming to the United States only speaking Spanish, and ultimately created a successful life for his family owning multiple businesses. He was able to do anything, and if he didn’t know how to do something, he would educate himself, learn to do it on his own, and be great at it too!”
His father taught Jayvo how to make tattoo needles at the age of 12, and Jayvo grew up watching him tattoo so it was natural that he would follow in his footsteps. Jayvo would ultimately work for his father for many years until 2014 when he closed shop and retired from the business. He eventually passed away in 2020.
Since 2016, Jayvo has owned True To You Tattoo where you’ll see photos of his father tattooing as well as memorabilia from his Dad’s previous tattoo shop.
Every time Jayvo’s Dad would leave the studio, he would shout “Happy Tattooing” to everyone there… now there is a neon sign that says “Happy Tattooing” in the window of True To You to honor him!
Jayvo and his dad were very close, and through True To You Tattoo, he continues to keep his fathers legacy alive!
